compleanno

L'asciugamano giallo compie due anni. Per festeggiare sono andato a ripescare il primo post, che visti gli eventi recenti acquista un significato particolare. forse alcuni di voi se lo sono perso e ripetita iuvant. Alex certo no visto che ha anche commentato. dubito pero' che anche lui avesse previsto obama cosi' presto alla casa bianca. All'epoca, solo due anni fa dopotutto, le persone in Illinois conoscevano Obama, perche' era il senatore dello stato ma sicuramente obama era ancora sconosciuto ai piu' in europa.

Since I moved to Illinois, I started following the American football with some curiosity. First with some curiosity, then with some participation, and at the end with surprising involvement. I got to know football because of my friend Dan who introduced me to the pleasure of Monday Night Football (MNF) with buffalo wings and beer. Now he is in North Carolina working for GE, but surprisingly I'm still following football. I even started cheering for the Illinois team Chicago Bears. Exactly when I was watching one this MNF game the Illinois senator Barack Obama appeared on TV. He is a very popular senator from Illinois and not few people think he will be the next American president. Anyway, when he appeared on TV I was thinking the worst things. When in Italy an high level politician appears on TV it is just because either is the new years eve either some bad stuff happened. Since it was not new year eve but a normal Monday Night Football I was prepared to the worst thing...shocked and with eyes wide open, this is what I was about to see..
